Intelligent beekeeping system
Hrubý, Jan ; Zeman, Václav (referee) ; Kiac, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design and develop an intelligent beekeeping system that can measure the frequency in the colony, the weight of the hive to monitor the loss or to inform the beekeeper if the bees are carrying honey. Furthermore, the security of the hive against theft is also being considered. Communication between multiple intelligent beekeeping systems is important for the functionality. This is why part of the work focuses on choosing the best possible communication, taking into consideration battery consumption and reliability. In this work, a many-to-one communication system of modules is used, which means that the number of hives can be freely expanded without affecting the functionality of the system. The resulting system is powered by a combination of battery and solar panels.
Mobile application for an intelligent beekeeping system
Pecár, Martin ; Myška, Vojtěch (referee) ; Kiac, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design and create an application which will allow beekeepers to manage their hives with a mobile phone. The reason for this is centralisation and clarification of all colected data from visits to the hive, where this data could be later used to create statistics.Furthermore, this app contains ways to notify the beekeeper that there is a need of intervention with the hive using their own alerts and statistics of selected properties of a hive. The result of this work is the previously described application.
Simulation and Management System for Beekeepers
Kaňovský, Zdeněk ; Kočí, Radek (referee) ; Peringer, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with analysis, design and implementation of the management and simulation system for beekeepers. The management system provides storing, updating and browsing the state of bee hives and is designed for the type of hives with removable frames. The simulation system contains the model of collecting nectar by honey bees and is addapted to management system. Depending on parameters of simulation model the application visualizes locations where would honey bees probably fly for the nectar and shows the amount of collected honey in one day.
Native Mobile Application for Bee Side Monitoring
Osolsobě, Jan ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Grézl, František (advisor)
The aim of this work is to create a multiplatform mobile application, that can help beekeepers who own devices from Forsage.net. This application has been developed by using the framework Nativescript for Android and iOS operating systems. The created result provides the beekeeper with the option to receive notifications, to display a web application and to use Bluetooth to obtain data from sensors. The major benefit of this application is that it provides the beekeeper with an overview on his beehives and warns him in a situation which needs to be responded to immediately.
Multiplatform Mobile Beekeeping Diary
Drábek, Petr ; Koutenský, Michal (referee) ; Pluskal, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this work is to create a transparent and intuitive mobile application replacing the classic paper recording of data about bee colonies for beekeepers. Furthermore, to provide the possibility of linking this application to the hive scale for even greater insight into bee colonies. The application is developed on Xamarin platform for Android and iOS. The result of this work is to help beekeepers to work with bees, store their data in a database and enable them to work with them on different devices. Provide the beekeeper with an upto-date overview of their apiaries, colonies and hives, as well as statistics from this data.
Legal regulation of beekeeping
Kramperová, Barbora ; Fabšíková, Tereza (advisor) ; Damohorský, Milan (referee)
The diploma thesis discusses beekeeping and the basic rights and obligations of beekeepers and other persons responsible for ensuring the greatest possible protection of bees. The absence of a single comprehensive law results in the fragmentation of legislation into many private and public law regulations. The diploma thesis describes the main institutes of beekeeping law from its very birth to the present, with an evaluation of the pros and cons of individual development tendencies, together with an outline of the legal regulation, what de lege ferenda should be. This thesis is divided into three main parts, which are subsequently divided into chapters, subsections and possibly lower levels. The first part consists of four chapters dealing with the historical development of beekeeping and beekeeping law in our territory. The second part, focuses on private law areas of beekeeping, is divided into two chapters. The first chapter of these defines the bee in terms of private law. The second one deals with the issue of neighborhood rights, while the individual sub-chapters include the topics of neighborhood rights as a civil law concept, immigration, swarm law, liability for damage and its compensation, and methods of resolving neighborhood disputes. The last part deals with public law and is divided...
Beekeeping and Its Use in Elementary School
Voska, Karel ; Andreska, Jan (advisor) ; Hanel, Lubomír (referee)
This thesis focuses on beekeeping and possibilities of its use in elementary schools. The first part is dedicated to the entire superfamily Apidae with a focus on the honeybee. However, other representatives are also mentioned across various social models, from solitary bees to those living in different levels of community life, up to large bee colonies. The second part of the thesis outlines the development of beekeeping, first at a general level and then within our country. It covers the inception of the relationship between humans and bees, the first pioneers of true beekeeping in the Mediterranean by Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans, and the development of beekeeping in our territory from the Middle Ages to the 20th century. The third and final part of the thesis is dedicated to the utilization of beekeeping in elementary schools. In this didactic section, various possibilities of incorporating bees into education across different subjects in elementary schools are described. The text includes proposals for topics and lesson plans, possible utilization of interdisciplinary relationships and tandem teaching, as well as suggestions for worksheets. The second part of the didactic work focuses on the beekeeping club at the elementary school, particularly its rules and types for its proper functioning....
Rozbor možností uplatnění včelařství jako součásti přidružené lesní výroby
Ferus, Václav
The bachelor's thesis deals with the possibility of applying beekeeping as part of non-wood forest production within forest property. It introduces the natural conditions, the current tree composition and the current habitats of beekeepers with the approximate number of bee colonies. It also introduces the costs that the owner of forest property would have to incur in order to raise and care for bee colonies, as well as the costs of tools for obtaining individual bee products and defines the subsequent possible profit and return. Part of the thesis is a questionnaire that was implemented on the website www.survio.com, while the questionnaire was targeted at beekeepers in beekeeping groups.
